Mark Willis has been appointed by Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts as president Asia with the expansion of the company targeting 30 properties in the region by 2020.
Willis will be responsible for overseeing Mövenpick’s Asian operation and will take over from former senior vice president for Asia, Andrew Langdon.
Langdon will now focus solely on his role as chief development officer.
Willis holds an experience of two decades of management, operations and business development in the global hospitality sector.
He most recently worked as senior area vice president Middle East, Turkey & Africa, at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
Willis has completed a number of senior management programmes at Cornell University in the US.
He holds an MBA in International Business from Oxford Brookes University in the UK.
