On August 3, 2023, Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, the renowned hideaway of the Riviera Maya, will once again open its doors, unveiling a stunning transformation that pays homage to Mayan design, traditions, and culture. Set amidst 200 acres of lush tropical jungle and the secluded white sands of Mexico’s Caribbean coast, Maroma emerges as a soulful celebration of Mexico’s craft, design, and culinary treasures.

Reimagined Mexican Heritage

Tara Bernerd & Partners, the globally acclaimed design studio, has seamlessly integrated the essence of Mexican heritage into Maroma’s architecture. The hotel’s white stucco buildings, aligned to the Sacred Geometry of Mayan masonry, now house an array of pan-Mexican art and design. Local artisans collaborated to craft furnishings and décor, resulting in a relaxed, hacienda-style living environment that harmonizes with nature. Organic forms, handwoven textiles, and panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea evoke an intrinsic connection with the environment.

Maroma offers 72 rooms, suites, and villas, each thoughtfully designed to embrace the tranquility of its private beachfront.
