In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in South Asia, Marriott International has signed a landmark seven-hotel deal with Ventive Hospitality. This agreement will see the opening of 1,548 hotel rooms across five prominent Marriott brands. The properties are set to debut across India and Sri Lanka, including several significant brand launches such as a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Sri Lanka and Marriott Hotels in Varanasi.
This collaboration is expected to reshape the luxury travel landscape in both countries, offering world-class facilities for business and leisure travelers alike.
The biggest thrill about the deal is the introduction of the Ritz-Carlton Reserve Pottuvil, set on Sri Lanka’s untouched eastern coast. It’s an ultra-luxury resort which will feature 73 lavish villas with a private sun deck and infinity plunge pool. The resort will showcase the area’s natural splendor and cultural heritage through bespoke leisure activities like privately curated game drives and exploration of the sea. Refined restaurants, the Ritz-Carlton Spa, and a Marine and Wildlife Centre are also set for guests.
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve will establish a new standard for ultra-luxury lodging, embodying the Ritz-Carlton’s tradition of individualized service and luxury hospitality.

The other anchor of the transaction is the JW Marriott Navi Mumbai, which opens in one of Mumbai’s satellite cities. JW Marriott Navi Mumbai will have 450 chic-ly designed rooms, a serene outdoor swimming pool, and a fully-equipped wellness precinct which consists of the signature JW Spa. The hotel itself will have 2,000 square meters of flexible event space, guaranteeing it complements perfectly conferences, as well as very exclusive events.
The proximity of Navi Mumbai to the D.B. Patil Navi Mumbai International Airport shall ensure that the property becomes a prime destination for international as well as domestic clientele.

In Mumbai, the Moxy Navi Mumbai will be part of a dual-branded property alongside the JW Marriott, offering 200 rooms with playful, youthful interiors. The hotel will feature flexible spaces and a full-service restaurant, offering a unique stay for guests who enjoy both comfort and creativity.
Ventive Hospitality will also launch the Courtyard by Marriott Mundra in Gujarat. Situated close to the Mundra Port, the hotel will offer a comfortable stay to both corporate and leisure travelers. With 200 rooms and a wide array of luxurious facilities such as an all-day dining facility, a spa, and meeting rooms, the hotel will be a perfect destination for corporate visitors to the city. Being only 1.5 hours away by road from Bhuj, the hotel location ensures easy accessibility for local as well as international guests.
Marriott International and Ventive Hospitality have a history of successful collaborations. This new agreement strengthens their partnership, marking the next phase of growth in the region.
