Measure, manage mitigate – The 3 main insights on sustainable tourism

To highlight the World Tourism Day, experts of the sector managed sustainable tourism in a board discussion with an urgency to ‘measure, manage and mitigate’ carbon footprint with a motive to highlight the clear and current climate change related danger.

During the event arranged by Ajman Tourism, TravTalk Middle East and Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, an expert board aimed on the theme “Shaping the Sustainability Future in Businesses” during which young advocate of sustainability, Sarim Hamdani, delivered the main speech and highlighted the position of
sustainability, with a cautionary that if actions are not taken now, then the next generation will grieve harshly.

Khadija Mohammed Turki, the expert tourism marketing & promotion at the Ajman Department of Tourism Development; Roxana Jaffer, the CEO of Sovereign Hotels Ltd; Sanith de Silva Wijeyaratne, the Director of Climate and Conservation Consortium; Shubhojit Mahalonobis, the Director and Managing Partner, Danube Home and Hospitality Solutions; John Whaley, the CEO of Integrity Business Solutions, and Amish Choksey, General Manager and Partner of Green Gold Eco Tech Fzco were among the panelists.

The Area General Manager of Coral Beach Resort Sharjah and the Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, Iftikhar Hamdani who managed the board discussion mentioned that it is important to contain all enterprises in bringing about a change.
