Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport Welcomes Jet Aviation as the New FBO, Here is the Update

Jet Aviation has officially begun operations at its new Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) facility at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport in Florida. This new addition marks the company’s 12th location in the United States and enhances its global network, which spans approximately 30 FBOs worldwide. Full completion of the Miami-Opa Locka facility is expected by mid-2026, further solidifying the airport’s role as a premier hub for business aviation.

State-of-the-Art Facilities for Business Aviation

The new Jet Aviation FBO occupies a 27-acre site on the west side of the airfield and is designed to cater to the growing demand for private and corporate aviation in Miami. The state-of-the-art facility will feature an 8,500 square-foot terminal that is Silver LEED-certified, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainability. In addition, the FBO will offer a 540,000 square-foot ramp that can accommodate large-cabin business jets, making it ideal for the needs of high-end travelers.

Enhanced Customs and Border Protection Services

An important component of the new facility is the 4,800 square-foot space designated for on-site US Customs and Border Protection services. This addition is expected to streamline international travel, making the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport an even more attractive gateway to both domestic and international destinations, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Expansive Hangar Space and Premium Amenities

The FBO will also feature two private-use hangars, each measuring 20,000 square feet. These hangars will offer ample space to house multiple large-cabin and ultra-long-range business jets, complete with necessary office support. With these facilities, Jet Aviation aims to provide premium services for a wide range of aviation customers, from corporate jet owners to private aircraft operators.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Future Plans

Construction of the ramp, taxiway connections and a fuel farm is currently underway. Once fully operational, the FBO will offer sustainable aviation fuel through Jet Aviation’s global Book & Claim program. The company has plans to establish a physical fuel supply once the facility reaches full capacity, reinforcing its dedication to environmentally responsible aviation operations.
