The Microsoft outage today disrupted the passenger check-in services for several airlines. However, the check-in process for all affected departure flights is now mostly complete, and operations in the departure hall at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) have returned to normal.

During the disruption, Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) implemented crowd control measures at the terminal to ensure an orderly check-in process for passengers of the impacted airlines. Additional staff from both AAHK and airport security were deployed to assist affected passengers on-site.

Airport operation systems and flight movements have continued normally.

AAHK will continue to closely communicate with the airlines. Passengers flying with the affected airlines are advised to stay updated on flight information.
