Milan Bergamo Airport joyfully heralds the advent of a fresh Eurowings connection from Hannover, set to take wing on the 6th of May, 2024. Initially gracing the skies twice a week, on the wings of Mondays and Fridays, this service will soon spread its reach further, soaring to four flights a week starting September 4th. Midweek wanderlust and weekend getaways are catered for with added flights on Wednesdays and Sundays, weaving a sky tapestry between Milan Bergamo and Hannover.

The new service provides convenient options for travellers seeking a connection between the north of Italy and Lower Saxony in Germany, with the schedule catering to both city-break and business travellers.

This marks Eurowings’ second route to Milan Bergamo Airport, building on the success of its existing service from Dusseldorf, which will operate six times per week during the summer of 2024.

The service between Milan Bergamo Airport and Hannover, which is known for its diverse industries and world-renowned trade fairs, creates a valuable link for business professionals seeking to explore new opportunities and establish international collaborations. Similarly, German travellers will gain easier access to the Lombardy region, which is not only the economic powerhouse of Italy but also a global hub for finance, design, and manufacturing.

With the introduction of the Hannover service, Milan Bergamo Airport will now be connected to eight German destinations during the 2024 summer season. The comprehensive list includes Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, Karlsruhe-Baden Baden, Niederhein-Weeze, and Frankfurt Hahn, offering passengers a wide range of choices for their travel needs.

Committed to providing enhanced connectivity between the two countries. Milan Bergamo Airport will offer up to 44-weekly departures to Germany in the summer of 2024.

The addition of the Hannover route further strengthens the partnership between Milan Bergamo Airport and Eurowings, offering passengers more choices and convenience in their travel plans, flights go on sale from Jan 23rd.

In addition to the exciting news from Eurowings, Milan Bergamo Airport is thrilled to share the recent announcement of three new Ryanair routes. Launching during the upcoming 2024 summer season, passengers can enjoy flights to Beni Melal (Morocco), Castellon (Spain), and Skiathos (Greece). These new additions complement the previously announced routes to Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Dubrovnik (Croatia), expanding the airport’s diverse range of destinations.

Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO, comprehended that as Milan Bergamo Airport continues to grow as a major international gateway, the addition of these new routes demonstrates our commitment to providing travellers with a wide array of options. Currently, a total of 148 destinations are scheduled from Milan Bergamo Airport for the upcoming 2024 summer season, solidifying the airport’s position as a premier travel hub in the region.
