Minister Dan Vandal invests in Winnipeg Folk Festival and promotes tourism

Being the home to an expansive four-season festival celebration that displays vibrant arts and culture,
Manitoba offers unique experiences for people throughout the year, to come and cherish the best
tourism treats of this province. One such event that attracts travellers from across the world is the
Winnipeg Folk Festival.


Dan Vandal the present Minister who is responsible for PrairiesCan and is a member of Parliament for
Saint Boniface-Saint Vital, has officially declared an investment of $380,000 for the welfare of Winnipeg
Folk Festival. The 48th anniversary of this event will be celebrated at Birds Hill Park. This support will aim
at improving the capital strength along with the staffing plans as it capitalizes on its victorious return
to an in-person event in 2022.


Since the revenue generation that comes from tourism industry has a substantial impact on the overall economy of a county, therefore the tourism industry across Manitoba a significant economic importance as well, as it supports several businesses and high-quality jobs associated with tourism. As a result, the Government of Canada has decided to keep continuing the flow of investments that can improve and make new experiences to draw more nation and international visitors on this province, promoting tourism and thereby promoting overall economic growth.
