Tourism Minister Prisca Mupfumira announced that “Tour Africa – New Horizon” will be implemented under China’s Belt and Road Initiative to draw a minimum of 350 tourists from China every month. There will be efforts to strengthen the infrastructure, soft infrastructures and cultural ties.
China’s newly launched tourism project will have both the old and new projects will cover an expansive geographical scope. Visitors can enjoy the one of the world’s biggest natural wonders, the Victorian Falls in Zimbabwe.
The plan remains applicable to 65 countries and will have a combined Gross Domestic Product of $23 trillion and includes some 4.4 billion people.
The minister further confirmed that the project will be managed in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines and will provide charter flight for 350 countries connecting Djibouti, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
In Zimbabwe the tourists can enjoy the majestic Victoria Falls and other scenic beauties. Other Chinese delegation will be inclusive of investors coming to scout the environment along with enjoying the unique tourist attractions.
Cultural ties with the East and cultural exchange programs between the two countries will be further established through the interaction.
The government is encouraging foreign investors to take up the vast business opportunities in Zimbabwe.
