Ministry revamps Dieng Plateau

The Public Works and Housing Ministry is now all set to revamp the appearance of Dieng Plateau that would attract greater number of domestic and foreign tourists coming in.


Basuki Hadimuljono, Public Works and Housing Minister, said that redecorating the area is hoped to draw more tourists who would come to Dieng so that the economic condition of the region gets developed.


He also added that the campaigns to change the attraction site into an improved that would provide better services for the visitors as well. The highland show off several great possibilities in terms of tourism, like its natural, picturesque attractiveness, together with cool air, he emphasized.


Dieng additionally is also home to several geological and historical attractions like Sileri Crater, Sikidang Crater, Mount Prau, Telaga Warna and many temples, he stated.


In 2023, the area management project that requires a budget of 101 billion will start, the minister stated.


At present, 5.7 hectares are in the middle of the process of public sale of the 4,600 hectares of Dieng, for the project management, the minister noted. The regions which will be developed include Sikidang area in Banjarnegara, Arjuna Temple complex along with Sikunir Hill, Telaga Warna, and Sikidang area, he mentioned.

The ministry highlights everything down to the smallest detail, emphasizing the creative worth as also implementing the local potential, he added.
