As per statistics obtained from the Mizoram Tourism Division, Mizoram saw 2,22,008 travelers in
the financial year 2022-23, exhibiting a stable arrival of tourists to the scenic northeastern area of India. These numbers comprise both local and overseas travelers.
During the aforementioned time, local tourists comprised the mainstream visitors, with a total of
2,18,457 people traveling to Mizoram. Concurrently, the state saw 3,552 overseas tourists, signifying a
small yet important global occurrence.
In the on-going fiscal year from April to July, Mizoram witnessed a total of 72,417 visitors. The local tourism division endures to be the chief provider, seeing 71,342 travelers in the course of this period. The global tourist sum is at 1,075.
Among overseas travelers, the United States grabs the top spot, with a prominent number of tourists visiting from countries like Japan, Canada, the UK, France and Australia among others.
Mizoram is gradually attaining admiration among travel vloggers on popular platforms like YouTube. Well-known travel vloggers like DesiGirl Traveller and Swathi Hariharan have created considerable viewership, reaping more than 50 lakh views on their travel experiences devoted to Mizoram.
