As anticipation rises for BIGBANG’s much-awaited 2026–2027 WORLD TOUR <XX: COSMOS> in Singapore, scheduled for 17 October 2026, Trip.com has recorded a sharp increase in travel interest to the city during the concert period. The latest data from the travel platform shows that fans from across Asia are planning trips to Singapore to experience the group’s highly anticipated return, highlighting how major entertainment events are increasingly influencing regional tourism patterns.
With concert tickets now sold out, BIGBANG supporters are not only securing their places at the show but are also rushing to arrange flights and accommodation for the event weekend. Trip.com data revealed that searches for flights and hotels to Singapore jumped by 370% between 11 and 13 August 2026 compared with the previous week, a surge that matched the timing of the concert’s presale and public ticket release phases.
Travel demand continued to strengthen as the concert weekend approached. Between 16 and 19 October 2026, flight bookings to Singapore increased by 85% year-on-year, while hotel reservations recorded a significant 213% year-on-year growth. Accommodation located within a 3-kilometre radius of the National Stadium saw especially strong demand, with bookings rising 238% compared with the same period last year, exceeding the overall growth rate for Singapore hotel bookings.
“Live entertainment continues to be a key driver of regional tourism, with travellers increasingly planning complete getaways around major events. The strong demand ahead of BIGBANG’s Singapore concert shows how fans are willing to travel across borders for memorable experiences, while also taking the opportunity to explore the destination. As interest builds around major event weekends, travellers are encouraged to plan early to secure their preferred flights, accommodation and attractions,” said Edmund Ong, General Manager, Trip.com Singapore.
Regional Travellers Drive Singapore Inbound Tourism Surge During Concert Weekend
Travellers from across Asia are expected to play a major role in boosting Singapore’s inbound tourism during the concert weekend. According to booking trends, Mainland China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia recorded the strongest demand for trips to Singapore, highlighting the city-state’s growing appeal as a leading regional hub for international entertainment and live event tourism.
The concert has encouraged visitors to extend their stays and explore more of Singapore beyond the performance itself. Many travellers are combining the event with leisure experiences, turning their concert trips into complete holiday packages. Among the most popular attractions booked during the weekend were Universal Studios Singapore, including Halloween Horror Nights, followed by Singapore DUCKtours and Adventure Cove Waterpark, showing strong interest in entertainment, family activities and immersive experiences.
Budget-Friendly Travel Choices Shape Concert Tourism Trends
While fans are travelling across borders for the highly anticipated event, many are carefully managing their travel budgets by choosing affordable accommodation and flight options. Trip.com booking data for 16 to 19 October showed that more than half of hotel reservations made for the concert period were priced below S$300 per night.
Air travel choices also reflected a preference for value-focused options, with around six in ten travellers selecting flights costing less than S$400 per person. The trend indicates that concert tourism is attracting a wide range of visitors who are looking for cost-effective ways to combine entertainment, travel and leisure experiences in Singapore.
