Long-distance services were also impacted by the disruption. The Netravati Express operating on the fifth line was among the trains affected, along with other important intercity services using the same railway corridor.

On the up direction towards Mumbai, several suburban trains faced delays. Services connecting Ambernath, Titwala, Badlapur and Kalyan with Mumbai were affected, causing inconvenience to passengers travelling towards the city.

Other delayed trains included Mumbai-bound services such as Hyderabad–Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram North–Mumbai trains, which were held up on the sixth line due to the operational restrictions caused by the crossing interruption.

The Diva level crossing had reportedly been opened more than once during the day, with earlier interruptions also occurring around 10.35 am and 11.10 am. Each opening affected train movement and increased pressure on railway operations.
