National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) offering careers in tourism and hospitality

Those willing to make a career in tourism industry, hospitality, event management and facility management can now get a good opportunity! The National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM), Hyderabad will take admissions into its two-year MBA in Tourism and Hospitality, four-year BBA in Tourism and Hospitality and B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration programmes for the academic year 2021-22.

The MBA and BBA in Tourism and Hospitality programmes are offered under the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad affiliation, while B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is under NCHMCT and IGNOU affiliation.

Students enrolling in BBA Tourism and Hospitality programme would get to learn about various aspects of running a travel agency including business management, finance and accounting, marketing etc. On completion of the course, students can find work opportunities in Directorates and Departments of Tourism in Center and States along with private sectors like travel agency, hotel, airline, transport agency or cargo.

Similarly, the MBA programme provides students with specific skills for the tourism and hospitality business in a practice-oriented and holistic approach. Students applying for the BBA Tourism and Hospitality programme need to score a minimum of 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST students) in their intermediate or equivalent examination. Selection of applicants will be made via aptitude entrance tests like UGAT, JEE-NCHMCT, ATMA-UG, EAMCET or equivalent. An analytical writing test will be taken for students who have not taken any aptitude entrance test.
