New Ambassador Programme by ECTAA Aims to Elevate Travel Sector through Expert Collaboration

The European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Associations (ECTAA) unveiled its innovative Travel Industry Ambassador Programme. This pioneering initiative aims to highlight the vibrancy and creativity within the travel sector by promoting trailblazing travel agents and tour operators who are significantly contributing to the evolution of travel. The programme emerges as a strategic response to the pressing challenges the travel industry faces, underlining the urgency of unified efforts and shared expertise.

At the heart of the Ambassador Programme is a deep-seated commitment to expanding knowledge. Ambassadors will participate in a variety of workshops and interactive sessions designed to refine their communication abilities, provide insights on addressing complex issues, bolster their online visibility, and foster connections with EU policymakers. Moreover, the initiative presents an exceptional networking opportunity, setting the stage for ambassadors to play a pivotal role in supporting ECTAA and its affiliate associations in championing the travel industry by the end of 2024. Participants will have the chance to meet and collaborate with key figures, including travel agents, tour operators, and leading industry professionals, thereby cultivating significant relationships and strategic alliances.

The inaugural Ambassadors for the ECTAA Travel Industry are:

• Anna LENNHAMMER from the Public Affairs Function at NLTG – Nordic Leisure Travel Group in Sweden
• Gabriele MILANI, serving as Director at F.T.O. – Federazione Turismo Organizzato in Italy
• Gert RAES, the Owner and Managing Director of Wings ‘n Wheels Travel organiser in Belgium
• Vincent SNAUWAERT, the Public Affairs Manager at TUI in Belgium
• Esa TALONEN, the Managing Director at Ikaalisten Matkatoimisto in Finland
• Dima TANTSIURA, the CEO of Albatros Travel in Ukraine
• Joeri VAN ANDEL, the General Counsel at Sunweb Group in The Netherlands

This program welcomes participation from those employed by a travel agency, a tour operator, or a member organization of ECTAA.
