Participating in an event coordinated by the Japan Tourism Agency, where various businesses and organizations within the tourism sector were brought together to encourage innovation, Deeper Japan expedited the creation of unique experiential offerings in lesser-known areas of Kyushu. Following a compelling presentation at the event, Deeper Japan successfully collaborated with local enterprises, initiating endeavors to invigorate tourism in Fukuoka and Saga Prefecture.

“We’re aiming to create high-value experiential content in these less-traveled areas using this opportunity.”

Through close cooperation with governmental bodies, Deeper Japan’s initiative aims to not only enhance tourism infrastructure but also stimulate local economic growth. The current proposal centers on establishing a traditional firework crafting workshop in partnership with a handheld firework manufacturing company in Miyama, alongside a katana sword-forging tour led by a master swordsmith in Imari. In addition to refining these cultural experiences, Deeper Japan has begun conducting monitoring tours to gain valuable insights into the perspectives of the target market and gather feedback for further enhancements.

Although endowed with abundant natural resources and a captivating history, these regions suffer from low visibility among audiences and a dearth of tourism infrastructure catering to international travelers. By crafting immersive experiential offerings targeted at inbound guests, the aim is to encourage visitors to explore and extend their travels to these lesser-known destinations.

Teaming up with artisans, artists, and nature guides throughout Japan, Deeper Japan offers a user-friendly online booking platform for authentic cultural experiences tailored specifically for foreign visitors.

In regards to the progress furthered through this program, Deeper Japan CEO Hikaru Ishikawa stated: “We’re aiming to create high-value experiential content in Kyushu using this opportunity. Overall, our goal is to increase the duration of stay of incoming travelers and provide greater opportunities for them to engage with these regions.”

This collaboration enhances Deeper Japan’s presence in Kyushu while solidifying the startup’s commitment to creating immersive cultural experiences that uphold tradition and stimulate intellectual curiosity among travelers.
