The Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) is thrilled to introduce the third edition of the widely popular Melbourne eGuide. This interactive guide aims to captivate, inform, and inspire international conference, meeting, and incentive event planners, highlighting why Melbourne is the preferred global destination for such gatherings. The latest eGuide showcases Melbourne’s vibrant cultural offerings, diverse services, and immersive experiences, enhancing the city’s reputation as Australia’s foremost events hub and top choice for business events.

Among the special features are tips on how to liven up your next business event or incentive itinerary, as well as suggestions on where to hold meetings, stay, dine, and have fun in Melbourne’s Chinatown.Event planners for associations both domestically and internationally will learn how Melbourne handled the massive Rotary International Conference, which brought in over 14,000 delegates from over 120 countries.

Conference, meeting, and incentive planners will find it interesting to learn about Crown Melbourne’s remarkable ability to meet the specific cultural needs of international groups, including sizable Indian delegations, as well as the city’s impressive capabilities catering to diverse cultural needs.

In this new edition, they have added a valuable MCB Recommended Supplier Directory to assist in organizing business events along user-friendly features, such as clickable icons for detailed venue capacities, to enhance event planning.

Julia Swanson, the Chief Executive of MCB, emphasized the significant value of the Melbourne eGuide by sharing data insights from the previous two editions launched in late 2022 and early 2023. She said, “Data has shown that our previous two eGuides have been well received globally as an essential destination awareness and planning tool, with 8000+ visits to the eGuide and impressive content engagement including RFP requests and hundreds of visits to featured MCB suppliers”. She further emphasized that the guide’s user-friendly layout, its accessible design, and the interactive map that empowers event owners, planners, and delegates to craft personalized itineraries, spanning from site visits to conference schedules, and even pre and post-travel arrangements, are outstanding features.
