There is positive news for the inhabitants of Jammu and Kashmir. The building of a 250-meter overpass in
combination with a 395-meter Maroge Tunnel, at a price of around Rs. 82 crore is complete. This move is
anticipated to boost the economy of the state. This will also improve the influx of travelers as it will simplify the movement of vehicles.

Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways said that this groundwork is located
along the Ramban to Banihal unit of NH-44. This 645-meter section, inclusive of the bigger plan, will not only curtail the travel expanse by 200 meters, decreasing sharp slopes, but also deliver a substitute way avoiding the well-recognized Sita Ram Passi slide region.

Additionally, it enables the smooth movement of vehicles, evading the challenging Margo Area slopes,
said Gadkari.

Previously, Manoj Sinha, J&K Lieutenant Governor said that already over 1.27 crore travelers have visited J&K this year. The figure is far more compared to last year. He said that they hope to witness record-breaking tourist influxes by the end of this year.

Last year, J&K saw 1.88 crore tourist entrances, which is maximum number in the past three decades.
