Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co., a prominent craft beverage company in New England and the region’s largest “Brewstillery” by production volume, is excited to declare the reopening of its facility on Friday, April 19, 2024, following a comprehensive four-and-a-half-year renovation. The grand reopening celebration is set for April 26, 2024. This extensive project underscores the company’s commitment to community, quality, and innovation. “With these upgrades, we can now produce nearly any conceivable product, offer event space for gatherings of any scale, engage more actively with our community, and provide a facility that matches the prestige of our award-winning products,” stated Brendan O’Donnell, CEO of Newport Craft.

Upon entering Newport via the Pell Bridge, visitors are greeted by the revitalized event and production facility that marks the ongoing rejuvenation of Newport’s North End and the enduring charm of Downtown. At Newport Craft, guests will find ample outdoor spaces for relaxation, enjoying craft beverages at various outdoor bars, engaging in games, and mingling with friends or approachable staff members. Inside, the facility offers tours of the brewing and distilling areas, which feature advanced equipment capable of producing over 100,000 barrels of beer annually—a tenfold increase from pre-renovation levels.

Whether visiting for a tour, a casual afternoon, or a private gathering, Newport Craft provides a welcoming 200-seat indoor taproom and event space connected to a serene 150-person outdoor beer garden and a rooftop area. From any spot on the premises, guests can enjoy spectacular views of the iconic Pell Bridge, with the venue designed to host everything from casual meet-ups to weddings and community events.

The renovation not only transformed the facilities but also showcased Newport Craft’s ongoing commitment to quality and community. Throughout the project, the company continued production, grew its team with skilled individuals from across the nation, and reinforced local partnerships with a substantial $28 million investment in Newport’s North End.

The redevelopment has ushered in a new era of product innovation for Newport Craft brands. The addition of a state-of-the-art microbiology lab is part of the facility’s enhancement, emphasizing the priority placed on quality and innovation to ensure each product meets stringent standards. The company is also introducing a line of alternative beverages crafted in-house to cater to diverse consumer preferences. Additionally, the acquisition and integration of brands like Braven and Radiant Pig into the Newport facility reflect the company’s strategic expansion. Nevertheless, the core of Newport Craft’s business—its distinguished beers, whiskies, and rums—remains the driving force behind its growth and commitment to delivering top-quality products.
