Nicky Guerrero has been announced as the new Conference Director of the International Cruise Summit (ICS), succeeding David Selby, who led the event for the last five years.
Guerrero, known for his extensive 24-year tenure with the Gibraltar Tourist Board and his role as Secretary General of MedCruise in 2023, brings a wealth of experience in the tourism and cruise industry to his new position. Virginia López Valiente, CEO of Cruises News Media Group, expressed her gratitude towards Selby for his contributions to making ICS a benchmark event in the cruise industry and her confidence in Guerrero’s capability to further elevate the summit’s status.
Guerrero, who has also served as a moderator at ICS and other sector events organized by MedCruise and Seatrade, is honored to take on this new challenge. He aims to exceed expectations at the 2024 ICS by focusing on high-level speakers and delving into the sector’s most pressing topics. His background, including various roles at the Gibraltar Tourist Board and as Director of Events and Partnerships at MedCruise, positions him as a respected figure in the industry.
The International Cruise Summit, organized by Cruises News Media Group, stands as Europe’s leading cruise conference, offering a comprehensive forum for global knowledge about the worldwide cruise industry. The event features a rich mix of presentations, panels, and networking opportunities, making it a must-attend for industry professionals. The next edition of the ICS is scheduled for November 12 and 13, 2024, in Madrid, promising to continue its tradition of insightful discussions and industry advancements under Guerrero’s direction.
