Nilgiris tourism recovers post pandemic

Following a few challenging years for the tourism segment in the Nilgiris as a result of the COVID-19
pandemic, this year has confirmed itself to be a huge impetus for the district. Horticulture and tourism
department representatives are witnessing nearly 20% upsurge in traveler numbers compared to the figures witnessed in 2022.

Tourist spots have reopened in the Nilgiris and they are clean and prepared for the influx of visitors. The Tamil Nadu government is developing ways to improve several tourist attractions in the state to entice
more tourists.
