In an impressive showing for the month of November, the Norwegian Group recorded an outstanding 1.8 million passengers, marking a high point in its operational performance. Both Norwegian Air and Widerøe, the regional carrier within the group, showed substantial growth. Norwegian alone welcomed 1.5 million passengers, while Widerøe contributed 324,000 passengers to the overall total. The November load factor reached a record-breaking 85.5%, indicating strong demand and efficient capacity management across the group’s network.
Norwegian Air’s capacity for the month of November was 2.404 billion seat kilometers, representing a 6% decrease from last year. Despite this, its revenue passenger kilometers (RPK), which reflect the actual passenger traffic, stood at 2.055 billion, showing only a slight 2% decline year-on-year. This slight dip was more than offset by the 85.5% load factor, up by 3 percentage points from the previous year. The airline also managed to maintain an average of 75 aircraft in operation, effectively adjusting its fleet size to meet demand.

While the performance was solid, it was impacted by harsh winter weather conditions, which hampered operations at times.
Looking ahead, both airlines are well-prepared for a bustling holiday season.
