voco’s Canadian expansion will begin with three exciting hotel openings in prominent tourist and business destinations. The highly anticipated voco Niagara Falls – Fallsview will open its doors in late 2026. Located in the heart of Niagara Falls, Ontario, this property will feature 232 guest rooms spread across two interconnected towers, offering guests stunning views of the iconic Falls. This property is a conversion of an existing hotel, preserving some of its heritage while integrating modern design elements to enhance guest experience.
After a day of exploring Niagara Falls, guests can enjoy a delicious meal at the hotel’s on-site restaurant, or unwind in the newly revamped lobby, which will include a cozy coffee shop, indoor pool, and fitness center for added relaxation.

Scheduled to open in mid-2027, voco Montreal will be the brand’s first new-build hotel in Canada. This exciting property is set to open in downtown Montreal, Quebec, ideally situated near major attractions like the Montreal Convention Centre, the University of Montreal Health Centre, and Old Montreal. The hotel will feature 55 guest rooms, offering a boutique feel with a focus on local design and comfort.
Guests will also have access to spacious dining and lounge areas, making this the perfect destination for both business meetings and leisure stays. The downtown location ensures convenient access to Montreal’s most popular spots, providing a blend of business convenience and cultural immersion.
Located near Toronto Pearson International Airport, voco Toronto Airport West is expected to open in 2027. This hotel will combine practicality with sustainability, offering 180 guest rooms designed with the eco-conscious traveler in mind. A highlight of the property will be its commitment to environmental responsibility, as voco Toronto Airport West will be the first zero-emissions, carbon-neutral hotel in Canada.
In addition to the sustainable features, the hotel will include a restaurant and bar, a fitness center, and 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting space for business events. As part of IHG’s Low Carbon Pioneers Program, this hotel will lead the way in IHG’s sustainability efforts, offering guests an eco-friendly yet luxurious stay near one of Canada’s busiest airports.
Scott Duff, Vice President of Development, Canada for IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed his excitement about voco’s expansion into Canada. He emphasized the brand’s appeal, noting that its unique properties, which blend individual character with a trusted global brand, have drawn both owners and guests worldwide. “We are thrilled to add another country to voco’s growing list of destinations, welcoming Canadian travelers to these new properties in Montreal, Niagara Falls, and Toronto Airport West,” Duff said.
The new Canadian openings are part of voco’s broader growth strategy, which includes rapid expansion in other parts of the world. In 2024, voco signed 45 new properties, with notable new entries in India and Sweden. The brand now boasts over 100 hotels in operation, with another 95 planned for the coming years.

Recent openings include voco Saranac Lake in Saranac Lake, New York, voco Moab in Moab, Utah, and voco Royalty Puebla Downtown in Puebla, Mexico.
