Now Zurich Can Boast The Opening Of Mandarin Oriental Savoy For The First Time

Mandarin Oriental is happy to present the third property of the group in Switzerland as it brings its fabulous hospitality to Zurich, the largest city of the country. Situated on the well-known Paradeplatz, Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, is a famous landmark hotel situated just few steps away from the impressive Bahnhofstrasse and its first-rate fashion houses, the ancient town and the attractive promenade leading to Lake Zurich. 

Mandarin Oriental Savoy’s story started in 1838, on a Christmas Eve, when a young Austrian baker called Johannes Baur established the first grand hotel of the city, the Hotel Baur. Just 185 years after, in the days before Christmas, this famous is reborn once again as it opens its doors to all global travelers and the local community after a widespread overhaul. 

To rejoice in the essence of Christmas and pay tribute to the original 1838 opening date of the hotel, Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, has collaborated with Harry Winston, the famous luxury jeweler, to make spectacular Christmas trees. The attractively adorned trees umph this festive season like anything in blue and gold, Harry Winston’s signature as they decorate the lobby, restaurants and signature suites of the hotel.
