Oceania Cruises launches first Culinary Masters cruise’ in October 2024

Oceania Cruises, renowned for its culinary and destination-centric approach, has unveiled plans for its inaugural ‘Culinary Masters’ Cruise’ scheduled to take place aboard the Marina in October 2024. This extraordinary cruise experience is tailor-made for food enthusiasts and will be led by Oceania Cruises’ two distinguished Master Chefs of France, Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, providing an exclusive opportunity to learn, savor, and immerse oneself in the world of culinary arts.

Embarking from Valletta, Malta, and concluding in Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, on October 16, 2024, the 1,250-guest ship will make stops in Croatia, Greece, and Italy, allowing guests to explore local cuisines both onshore and onboard.

Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises, emphasized the company’s dedication to culinary excellence, stating, “Oceania Cruises is a cruise line built by foodies, run by foodies, for foodies.” Del Rio expressed pride in being the only cruise line with two chefs inducted into the esteemed Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, highlighting the upcoming Culinary Masters’ Cruise as a natural progression in showcasing their culinary expertise to guests.

Marina, along with its counterpart Riviera, pioneered the concept of foodie ships and is now joined by Vista and Allura. These ships boast more galley space and fresh food storage than any other, with the highest percentage of culinary personnel dedicated to the dining experience in the industry. Oceania Cruises maintains a chef-to-guest ratio of 1:10 and, due to the success of onboard Culinary Centers, has doubled the space in its newest ships.

The inaugural Culinary Masters’ Cruise promises an immersive foodie experience, featuring expert insights in panel discussions, live cooking demonstrations by Chef Alex and Chef Eric, and a legendary signature gala seafood brunch. Guests will also indulge in themed Chef’s Market Dinners in The Terrace Café, showcasing locally sourced ingredients inspired by the destinations visited.

Exclusive experiences available only on this cruise include culinary tours in local ports, hands-on cooking classes led by Oceania Cruises’ esteemed culinary team, expert-led wine tastings, and an exclusive private dinner event.

Chef Alex expressed excitement about this exclusive cruise, positioning Oceania Cruises as a leader in the culinary field and offering an unparalleled journey for food lovers. The itinerary spans picturesque Mediterranean and Adriatic ports, promising a culinary adventure from Valletta to Rome, with stops in Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, and Greece, culminating in a day in Naples, the ultimate destination for food enthusiasts, before reaching Rome (Civitavecchia).
