On the gorgeous sea beaches of Odisha, the standing committee has proposed plans for introducing night tourism that would draw greater number of foreign tourists to the state.
Also, in this initiative, the committee has proposed plans to engage the locals as well as regional entrepreneurs.
In its first phase, the state government is all set to begin night tourism in the exotic beaches of Konark, Puri, and Chilika with food, beverages, entertainment, and cultural programs under one tent.
Of about 480 kms in length, the coastline of Odisha is vast which is soon to turn into a coastal highway.
In the same way, the Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, under the Sagarmala project, have proposed to build up five lighthouses of Odisha as hubs of tourism. Additionally, the state tourism department’s eco-tourism initiative has created a niche by luring unexpected tourist footfall to the state.
The night tourism program will just increase the potential of Odisha tourism, said a senior official of the tourism department.
