As part of its ongoing transformation aimed at enhancing overall financial performance and strengthening its position in an increasingly competitive market, Oman Air has unveiled a series of strategic adjustments to its network.
These changes encompass the introduction of a new route, Sialkot, and the discontinuation of services to Islamabad, Lahore, Colombo, and Chittagong. The airline will also adjust frequencies to specific markets, while simultaneously increasing capacity to two existing destinations, Lucknow and Thiruvananthapuram. Additionally, three destinations—Trabzon in the summer, and Zurich and Malé in the winter—will operate on a seasonal basis.
To optimize its schedule starting this summer, Oman Air has implemented measures to better cater to the Omani market and address key travel flows in and out of Oman. Flight times for several destinations have been revised, prioritizing more favorable slots to enhance convenience for direct passengers and maximize connection windows.
Concurrently, the airline is actively reassessing its strategy to adapt to evolving market dynamics and identify new opportunities. In alignment with government stakeholders, including the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Oman Air remains steadfast in its commitment to support the economic and social objectives outlined in Oman’s 2040 Vision.
