The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association has announced that its 2024 Global Convention will take place from October 23 to 26, and it is currently open for speaker applications. This event, which is scheduled to be held in Osaka, Japan, represents the organization’s first major conference in Asia. The timing is strategically set to align with the anticipated Osaka Pride, which is provisionally planned for October 26 and 27.
IGLTA is inviting knowledgeable and charismatic speakers from varied backgrounds to deliver impactful talks that will resonate with an international audience and cover themes pertinent to LGBTQ+ travel marketing and the integration of intersectionality within the travel sector. Participants will be given a platform to express their distinct viewpoints through various formats including breakout sessions, workshops, and main stage presentations over two days.

“IGLTA is thrilled to shine a spotlight on Asia’s dynamic LGBTQ+ travel scene through this historic convention,” said IGLTA President/CEO John Tanzella (he/him). “We’re seeking passionate voices from all backgrounds—established leaders and rising stars alike—to share their insights and spark conversations that shape the future of LGBTQ+ travel in Japan and throughout the region.”
This year, the convention will introduce a dual-track approach for its breakout sessions and workshops: one designed for those new to the LGBTQ+ travel market, and another aimed at seasoned professionals keen on understanding cutting-edge trends.
The convention annually gathers leading figures and authorities in the field from across the globe to exchange knowledge, experiences, and industry best practices in LGBTQ+ tourism.
