This summer, Tallinn Airport is gearing up to offer travelers an unprecedented array of options with over 50 destinations available through direct flights. Among these offerings are three new airlines: Eurowings to Prague, Transavia France to Paris, and flydubai to Dubai. The addition of these carriers expands the reach of Tallinn Airport, opening up new avenues for both business and leisure travel.
The new routes promise exciting opportunities for Estonian travelers. For instance, the flydubai flights launching on October 12 will mark the first direct link between Estonia and the United Arab Emirates, presenting novel possibilities for long-haul travel. Moreover, the resurgence of flights to Prague and Paris by Eurowings and Transavia France respectively is expected to attract a significant number of passengers.
In addition to the new destinations, existing routes are being bolstered, with almost all 17 airlines operating from Tallinn increasing the frequency of their flights this summer. This expansion means a 20% increase in tickets available compared to 2023 and surpasses pre-pandemic levels from 2019.
Notably, the Stockholm route stands out with both SAS and Ryanair ramping up their services to the Swedish capital, offering a combined total of eight flights per day, making it the busiest route in terms of seat capacity. Helsinki, too, will see an increase in flight numbers, with up to 10 flights per day.
Eero Pargmae, a member of the management board of AS Tallinna Lennujaam, expressed enthusiasm for the summer schedule, emphasizing the collaborative effort behind the airport’s success. He extended gratitude to travelers for choosing Tallinn Airport, highlighting the remarkable achievement of providing a diverse portfolio of destinations despite Estonia’s relatively small population.
Tallinn Airport’s recognition as the best airport in Europe in its passenger category for six consecutive years underscores its commitment to excellence. As the summer season approaches, travelers can look forward to an enriching and convenient travel experience from Tallinn Airport.
