Pegasus Airlines, Turkey’s premier low-cost carrier, is prepared to transform its operations by using the SkyBreathe® 360° eco-flying technology. The airline hopes to minimize fuel costs and carbon emissions by harnessing cutting-edge technology in a strategic move toward environmental responsibility and operational efficiency.

OpenAirlines’ SkyBreathe® platform uses modern Big Data techniques, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to thoroughly examine flight data. This effort allows Pegasus Airlines to monitor, analyze, and enhance fuel-efficient practices, resulting in significant financial savings and a significant reduction in the airline’s carbon impact.

The airline’s dedication goes beyond the cockpit, with the addition of SkyBreathe® MyFuelCoach. This smartphone application provides pilots with reliable data, allowing them to make more informed decisions for more effective flights. The user-friendly interface makes it easier to identify areas for operational efficiency.

Recognizing the value of a healthy fleet, Pegasus Airlines extends its partnership with SkyBreathe® by using SkyBreathe® APM for continuous monitoring of aircraft performance. This step assures that, with a growing fleet of 105 aircraft, maintenance workers have real-time insights, receive information about anomalous deterioration, identify root causes, and take fast corrective action.

Pegasus Airlines CEO Güliz ztürk expressed excitement about the agreement, saying, “This reflects our determination to leverage advanced technology to enhance our fuel efficiency and operational practices, contributing to our 2050 Net Zero emissions target.”

The cooperation with OpenAirlines represents a key turning point in Pegasus Airlines’ commitment to ecologically friendly aircraft. “Their choice to embrace three solutions from the platform shows their determination to unite everybody in the airline beneath a shared mission of maximizing business energy consumption and reduce the adverse environmental impacts of their flights,” said Alexandre Feray, the CEO and founder of OpenAirlines.

SkyBreathe® effectively saved one million tons of CO2 in 2022, demonstrating its ability to promote good change in the aviation industry. By joining the SkyBreathe® Community, Pegasus Airlines joins over 60 other airlines in reaffirming its leadership position in the global shift to more sustainable flying operations.
