Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society (PRPS) is welcoming candidates for 10-12 Recreation & Parks Technical Assistance Program (RecTAP) allowances. Financed by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), RecTAP aids as community leisure and parks consulting facility. It gives away no less than $2,500 for the management-linked technical services of well-informed experts to aid in developing a community task to progress local entertaining conveniences, parks and trajectories.
The CEO of PRPS Tim Herd said that what differentiates these allowances is the backing that they offer the communities. He said that they match each grantee with a line-up of specialists who have wide-ranging skills, understanding and involvement in the matters connected to their planned project.
Kara Scott, the President of Bowmanstown Area Residents Connected (BARC) said that their RecTAP funding is the impetus that they wanted to get this project on the go. BARC is a native community group devoted toward refining Bowmanstown by growing community involvement and communication.
Scott said that they had been speaking regarding how to utilize this land for over a decade. This funding allowed them to cultivate an idea design with a flat walking loop adjacent to area conveniences, trees, benches, bike stands, ADA parking and more to link people to nature and to each other.
PRPS draws inspiration from a comprehensive list of park, leisure and trails experts with knowledge in scheduling, supervision, growth, collaboration, patronage among others. This line-up delivers technical support that considerably surges the worth of the funding.
