Perception of Goa concerning tourism needs to change

Rohan Khaunte, the Tourism Minister of Goa said that the insight that Goa is merely a ‘sun, sea and sand’ tourism place needs to be reformed.

The BJP administration in Goa is striving to encourage spiritual and wellness tourism strategies, said Khaunte. He added that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ inventiveness will help improve these areas.

The minister spoke after launching a three-day occasion to celebrate the traditional Chikhal Kalo fiesta
at Marcel in the district of North Goa.

Khaunte said that Goa is popular for the western lifestyle as well as night and party life. That is being
anticipated as the ethos of Goa. He said that they need to alter this opinion.

Khaunte said that after the pandemic, people are becoming engrossed with mystical and wellness
tourism considerably.

He added that the Goa government is striving to encourage maintainable and responsible tourism.
