Peru expands its MICE tourism plans to attract more business visitors

Peru is a country with spectacular natural landscapes, a fascinating history, great culinary, and a diverse cultural mix. All of these factors combine to make it a vital tourist attraction. Today, it has expanded its services even further, since it has become an outstanding location for huge international events and gatherings.

According to PROMPER, Peru’s economic progress, modernity, and first-class infrastructure, in addition to all the qualities that have traditionally distinguished the country, now ensures meetings and business visits.

Peru’s attention to detail takes centre stage and is a critical component of the wonderful experience it gives. Furthermore, it emphasises its unique geographical location, allowing connections to all major destinations in America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

In recent years, the country’s policy of expanding MICE, or business tourism, within the tourism industry has promoted investment in hotels in the country’s major cities, particularly by foreign chains.Thus, Lima (the country’s capital), Arequipa, Cusco, and Paracas (a beach resort) are great places for congresses, seminars, and incentive visits.

In this context, the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV) has decided to hold its next board of directors meeting in the imperial city of Cusco. This will take place on Tuesday, June 20, as part of a journey to Peru by 15 CEAV board members and two Iberia officials from June 15 to 21, owing to an invitation from Peru’s Commission for Promotion of Export and Tourism (PROMPER).

The guests will meet with Peruvian business leaders in order to enhance bilateral connections and business. Activities will include a tour of cultural attractions in Lima and Cusco, as well as a presentation of the extensive MICE offer.

The 8th World Forum on Energy Regulation (WFER), the 12th Congress on Business in the Digital Age (NED 2023), the 15th International Gold, Silver, and Copper Symposium, and the MinPro trade expo are among the other planned major gatherings in Peru.
