Today, on January 30th, the Pixar Place Hotel officially opens at Disneyland Resort, marking the transformation of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel into the United States’ first fully Pixar-themed hotel. This 15-story high-rise, overlooking Disney California Adventure Park, features contemporary guest rooms celebrating the artistry of Pixar Animation Studios. The hotel offers new dining options by Great Maple, a rooftop pool area, play court, renovated fitness center, and more. Throughout the hotel, guests can enjoy character artwork, concept renderings, and displays showcasing Pixar stories like “Finding Nemo,” “Inside Out,” “Soul,” and others.
Ken Potrock, President of Disneyland Resort, expresses the intention to enhance the guest experience at Disneyland Resort with high-quality offerings, citing the transformation of Pixar Place Hotel as an example.
Pixar Place Hotel General Manager, Ron Silagyi, emphasizes the elevated and distinctly Disney experience provided by the upgraded accommodations and amenities, along with the stylish Pixar flair.
The hotel aims to capture the inspiration and humor found in every Pixar film while celebrating the artistic process. The redesigned lobby features a large sculpture of the iconic Pixar Lamp, and a mobile representing the early stages of Pixar filmmaking floats from the skylight.
Guests may encounter characters like Joe Gardner from “Soul” playing the piano and Bing Bong from “Inside Out” creating core photo memories at select times – a first for any Disney property.
The reimagined guest rooms incorporate whimsical nods to Pixar, including concept art on headboards and pillows inspired by the Pixar Ball. Some of the artwork was specially created by Pixar Animation Studios artists for Pixar Place Hotel.
Upon completion later this year, the hotel will offer 479 guest rooms, including themed signature suites paying tribute to “Coco” and “The Incredibles.” The rooftop recreation areas provide a cozy space to view fireworks, and the nearby Pixar Shorts Court offers outdoor games themed to Pixar short films.
The hotel also introduces new culinary offerings by Great Maple, with a restaurant serving elevated American classics, a lobby coffee shop, and a rooftop pool bar opening in early March.
Pixar Place Hotel offers various benefits and amenities, including early entry to select attractions, dining, and shopping locations. It’s conveniently located within walking distance to Disneyland Resort theme parks and Downtown Disney District, with a dedicated entrance to Disney California Adventure Park.
Guests can enjoy Pixar storytelling throughout Disneyland Resort, including the limited-time Pixar Fest celebration from April 26 to Aug. 4, 2024, featuring parades, nighttime spectaculars, and colorful décor. Pixar experiences are available year-round at Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park.
