Porter Airlines launches pioneering route from Montréal to Vancouver, expanding into Western Canada

Marks the debut of Porter Airlines’ new service connecting Vancouver International Airport (YVR) with Montreal, introducing their inaugural venture into Western Canada. This new route brings Porter’s hallmark of authentic hospitality and superior in-flight service to all travelers, featuring complimentary, swift WiFi, a variety of top-tier snacks, and beverages such as beer and wine served in actual glassware. For those opting for the all-inclusive PorterReserve fares, or choosing to add on to PorterClassic fares, perks like priority check-in, additional legroom, premium mixed drinks, and fresh, nutritious meals are available.

This service commences with a daily roundtrip flight utilizing Porter’s cutting-edge Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which seats 132 passengers and is designed with a two-by-two seating arrangement, eliminating the middle seat for a more comfortable experience.

The new service facilitates a host of connection options to Eastern Canada via Montreal (YUL), including cities like Halifax, Toronto-Pearson, and Toronto-City, and it enhances the existing daily direct flights from Toronto-Pearson and Ottawa to Vancouver.

Thanks to a codeshare agreement with Air Transat, passengers can also enjoy convenient European connections from Montreal to cities including Paris and London, offering more travel options and streamlined transfers.

Later this spring, Porter will expand its offerings with new services to Edmonton and Calgary from Montreal. With the addition of these three Western destinations, Porter is set to operate 8 direct routes from Montreal, broadening its network and accessibility.
