Powerful 5.7 earthquake strikes in Turkey

On August 11, a powerful earthquake struck Turkey, causing significant injuries, fatalities, and extensive damage to buildings. With a magnitude of 5.7, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in Yesilyurt city of Malatya province.

The impact of the earthquake led to more than 23 reported injuries in Malatya and Adiyaman. Injuries were primarily due to falls and individuals attempting to escape buildings at risk of collapsing.
