Princess Cruises announced significant updates to its main dining options across its fleet today, aiming to provide guests with unparalleled flexibility and choice in their dining experiences. The new offerings include three types of table service: Traditional, Reservable, or Walk-in Anytime, enhanced by the unique OceanNow location-based service. This allows guests to order anything, anytime, anywhere on board.

To cater to varied preferences, Princess will allocate different dining rooms on each ship for these services—one for traditional dining with fixed early and late seatings, another for reservations at preferred times, and a third for walk-ins at any time. These options are seamlessly integrated with OceanNow, offering a tailored dining experience unique to Princess.

Following the successful introduction of these dining formats on the new Sun Princess, which features a three-story dining room catering to different dining preferences, the approach will be expanded fleetwide. Starting April 15, 2024, the new dining setup will be available on all Princess voyages departing from September 14, 2024.

“Our guests have been delighted with the dining flexibility aboard Sun Princess and we’re pleased to extend the concept to all the other ships in our fleet,” said Sami Kohen, Princess Cruises vice president of food and beverage. “Now whether guests prefer an early seating every evening, or change things up every night, or even change their mind, these flexible dining options ensure that their dining preference is effortlessly accommodated.”

Booked guests can start using the app from June 17 to select their preferred dining style—whether it’s traditional seating with consistent service or flexible dining in either the Reservable or Open Seating rooms.

These changes will not impact guests in specialty dining or those staying in suite or reserve collection accommodations, who will continue to enjoy dedicated dining facilities without the need for reservations. Note that the Reservable and Walk-in Anytime Dining will be combined into one main dining room on the Coral Princess and Island Princess. For more details, guests are encouraged to contact Princess Cruises directly or consult a professional travel advisor.
