Foundations in Sustainability

Before receiving its Green Globe certification, Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach was already a leader in eco-friendly initiatives. Since 2017, the resort has been recognized by Thailand’s Department of Environmental Quality Promotion and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for its proactive environmental efforts. These include pioneering projects like The Last Straw and The Water Boy, which have paved the way for its current achievements in sustainability.

In 2018, The Last Straw campaign successfully eliminated single-use plastic straws from all its restaurants and bars, cutting straw usage by over 170,000 annually and reducing total consumption by 80%. The Water Boy initiative began by introducing water stations with infused water and reusable cups in dining areas to reduce single-use plastic waste. This project grew to include the Pullman Water Tumbler program, offering guests refillable water bottles to use during their stay and take home.
