 Monday, June 5, 2023

To encourage tourism in Japan, efforts are getting traction by emphasizing saunas, which have become more and more well-liked, mostly among young crowd, in recent times.

Besides selling off travel plans that mingle the utilization of sauna facilities with airline tickets, lately, Japan Airlines has set up a service that permits customers to check how many people are there in the saunas.

Outdoor saunas in the rural areas that make the most of the natural surroundings by using tents have been built one after another.

Agencies providing travel services have planned tours like saunas, as local governments are starting initiations to increase the advertisement for sauna-aimed tourism and improve their aid for business operators.

JAL from March 2021 has been providing a JAL sauna travel package, which offers customers a free hand in mixing entry to sauna room with their airline tickets.

When it comes to destinations, customers can select from the Kyushu, Hokuriku, Hokkaido, Tohoku and Kanto provinces. The package provides the customers with the option of buying a ¥500, one-day ticket. This can be made use at an allied facility at a place of their preference.

As per JAL, many men are their customers who fall in the 30 and 40 year age group, with Hokkaido most regularly selected destination.

Furthermore, the airline is set to create, perhaps in August 2023, a service that checks tourist flow in sauna rooms with high-precision sensors.
