Qatar Aeronautical Academy teams up with Incheon Airport Aviation Academy

On Sunday, the Qatar Aeronautical Academy (QAA) and the Incheon Airport Aviation Academy (IAAA) from the Republic of South Korea formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance their collaboration in the field of aviation. This agreement was officiated by QAA’s Director General, Sheikh Jabor bin Hamad Al Thani, and Hyoung-Wook Jeon, Vice President of the Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), under the observation of the Minister of Transport, Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti. The MoU focuses on the creation and execution of training programs, the exchange of students and instructors, collaborative activities, joint marketing efforts, promotion, and the organization of ICAO courses in both nations. Minister Al Sulaiti highlighted the MoU’s pivotal role in improving the educational and skill levels of the academy’s students and staff by providing access to the most current educational and training resources in civil aviation, as well as facilitating the exchange of knowledge between the two parties.

His Excellency said: “The Ministry of Transport supports all aspects of cooperation with the world’s leading educational institutions to develop the work path of QAA with the aim of building promising generations capable of meeting the requirements of the civil aviation sector in a way that serves society and meets its needs in line with achieving the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy and implementing Qatar National Vision 2023”.

Similarly, HE Sheikh Jabor bin Hamad Al-Thani underscored the significance of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which is poised to strategically advance cooperation between the two parties. Through provisions for training, marketing, and promotional programs in the civil aviation sector, the MoU aims to enhance QAA’s performance and broaden the scope of collaborative relations.His Excellency said: “QAA’s membership in the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program will qualify it to work alongside IIAC in the Republic of South Korea and will enable it to open a new window to view Intellectual and academic diversity between both sides.


“This collaboration with the Korean side is expected to bring new opportunities for work and innovation, incorporating the latest methods and practices to enhance educational and training systems for both parties. It will create an atmosphere of openness to broad fields and extensive prospects for aviation training”.


Hyoung-Wook Jeon stated: “As we mark the beginning of this cooperative relationship, I wish to share our shared goals and vision for the sustainable development of the aviation industry. Both of our institutions play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the aviation sector, and the signing of this training cooperation MoU further emphasizes its significance.


“Through this collaboration, our institutions will leverage their expertise and excellence in the aviation field to utilize complementary strengths, contributing to the cultivation of global aviation professionals. We are prepared to share knowledge and experiences, broaden our mutual understanding, and open a new chapter of cooperation for the advancement of the aviation industry.


“We are confident that this cooperation will contribute significantly to supporting the training and exchange of expertise between the two sides in the field of civil aviation, and our joint efforts will play a vital role in creating a brighter future for the aviation sector in both sides.” (QNA)
