Qatar Airways and Qatar Duty Free Join Forces as Official Partners for ‘Match for Hope’ Charity Football Event

Qatar Airways and Qatar Duty Free are thrilled to announce their partnership as the Official Partners for the ‘Match for Hope’ charity football event.This special match, scheduled for 23 February 2024, will showcase legendary footballers alongside top content creators in an exhilarating showdown. Leading the teams will be the most popular content creators from the MENA region, AboFlah and Chunkz, with football legends such as World Cup champions Kaka, Roberto Carlos, Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba, David Villa, and the renowned Paris Saint-Germain star, Claude Makélélé.

This charity football match, organized by Q Life in association with the State of Qatar’s International Media Office (IMO), Education Above All (EAA), and the Qatar Football Association (QFA), aims to generate crucial support and funds for children out of school globally. Qatar Airways, Qatar Duty Free, and Visit Qatar are proud to support this event, underlining Qatar Duty Free’s dedication to leveraging sport as a means to unite people and support noble causes.

The funds collected from this event will benefit EAA’s initiatives in Mali, Pakistan, Palestine, Rwanda, Sudan, and Tanzania, funding the construction of classrooms, provision of educational materials, connection to social programs, teacher mentorship training, and more.

Founded in 2012 by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Education Above All Foundation focuses on transforming lives through education and establishing the conditions necessary for disadvantaged children and communities to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
