Qatar Airways Soars Into Africa: New Kinshasa Route Enhances Connectivity and Expands Services to Luanda

Qatar Airways has unveiled its latest network expansion, incorporating Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which will result in enhanced frequencies and expanded capacity to Luanda, Angola. This strategic expansion not only offers passengers a broader range of travel options within a pivotal African region but also establishes a fresh entry point for international travel from Africa to destinations such as China, Europe, and the Indian Subcontinent, utilizing Doha, Qatar, as a central hub. With the addition of Kinshasa, the esteemed airline now serves twenty-nine destinations across Africa.

Commencing on June 1, 2024, Qatar Airways will elevate its services to Luanda, increasing flight frequency from one weekly flight to four weekly flights, concurrently introducing service to Kinshasa for the first time. The newly introduced route will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, offering passengers a world-class experience with 22 Business Class seats and 232 Economy Class seats.

Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Thierry Antinori, said: “We have seen significant milestones in our 2024 network expansion and this latest addition is particularly special, as it continues our strategic goal of increasing our footprint in Africa.”

Qatar Airways has showcased its commitment to the region by providing passengers in Africa with greater choice to explore different corners of the world through our network and our hub in Doha, Hamad International Airport.”
