The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) recently achieved the successful launch of its Karnataka Chapter. This is the first of many steps meant to enhance the development of the domestic tourism circuits in Karnataka. The launch also inaugures a joint effort among traveling professionals meant to support the tourism growth of Karnataka and create new opportunities for the domestic travel market.

The installation ceremony was held at Hotel Maurya, Race Course Road, Bengaluru, with enthusiastic participation from ADTOI members, tourism stakeholders, industry leaders, and professionals from the travel and hospitality sectors. The event commenced with a networking lunch, followed by the formal installation and launch ceremony, and concluded with the first official meeting of the newly formed chapter.

Newly Appointed Office Bearers of ADTOI Karnataka Chapter

The newly established Karnataka Chapter will be led by a dedicated team of industry professionals:

• Chapter Chairman: Mr. Roshan Pinto
• Chapter Secretary: Ms. Poonam Shetty
• Chapter Treasurer: Ms. Bhavana Jalan

The chapter committee will also include key representatives supporting its growth and strategic development:

• Lady Entrepreneur Officer (LEO) Member: Ms. Neena L. Pereira
• National Growth Committee for Chapter (NGCC) Member: Mr. H. Jagadeesh
• State Chapter Advisor (SCA) Member: Mr. Ramananda K. S.

The newly appointed leadership team will focus on strengthening ADTOI’s presence in Karnataka while working towards promoting domestic tourism, improving industry cooperation, and showcasing the state’s rich cultural, heritage, natural, and experiential tourism potential.

Distinguished Dignitaries Attend the Historic Launch

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several prominent dignitaries and tourism industry leaders, highlighting the importance of domestic tourism development in Karnataka.

The event was graced by Shri M. Srinivas, Chairman of Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation; Shri Manoj Kumar, IFS, Principal Secretary (Forests), Government of Karnataka; Shri Janardhan H. P., Joint Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka; Shri K. Syama Raju, President of South Indian Hotel & Restaurant Association (SIHRA), President of Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS), and Past President of FHRAI.

Other distinguished guests included Shri Vishweshwar Bhat, Editor-in-Chief of Vishwavani; Shri Ved Khanna, National President, ADTOI; Shri Ashish Segal, National Vice President, ADTOI; Shri D. R. Chouhan, National Managing Committee Member, ADTOI; and Shri Atul Singh, National Managing Committee Member, ADTOI.

The presence of senior government officials, tourism leaders, and representatives from the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries reflected the growing importance of domestic tourism as a key driver of Karnataka’s tourism economy.
