Radisson Hotel Group is delighted to declare the inauguration of the Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit, marking its inaugural Safari venture in Africa and the 11th establishment in South Africa. Nestled amidst the distinguished Kruger National Park and Blyde River Canyon nature reserves, this hotel is positioned 2 km outside Hoedspruit, within the heart of the grasslands in the Limpopo province, and merely 20 minutes from Eastgate Airport.

With breathtaking vistas of the Drakensberg mountains, the highest range in Southern Africa, Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit is enveloped by an array of immersive activities. Guests can embark on bucket-list safari escapades to witness indigenous wildlife like lions, rhinoceros, and elephants, engage in horseback trekking, or savor the expansive scenery from a hot air balloon.

The accommodation offerings at Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit span from standard rooms with garden and mountain panoramas to Premium Suites featuring private pools and serene outdoor seating areas that embrace the natural landscape. Embracing a modern Scandinavian aesthetic, the hotel’s 138 rooms and suites cultivate a serene atmosphere with natural materials, wooden accents, and earthy tones that pay homage to the African surroundings.

Mirage, the thatched roof restaurant, invites guests to relish South African and Lebanese-inspired cuisine on its wrap-around deck, with easy access to a sunbathing area and pool during summer, along with an outdoor fireplace on cooler evenings. Pegasus restaurant presents fresh and wholesome Mediterranean, Italian, Mexican, and American-inspired dishes, as well as gourmet ice cream and frozen cocktails, served alongside the adults-only swimming pool. At the third restaurant, Boma, guests can savor Africa’s culinary delights, including local sausage, Boerewors, Bobotie, and a selection of game meat, all while listening to the soothing crackling of the fire and stargazing under the clear night sky.

Tim Cordon, Chief Operating Officer, Middle East & Africa, Radisson Hotel Group, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to open the doors of our first safari-inspired hotel in South Africa.” The Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit not only represents the 11th addition to their South African portfolio but also completes the Golden Triangle Safari offering alongside properties in Cape Town and the recently opened Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya in Livingstone.

Charles McCarthy, the General Manager overseeing operations at Radisson Hotel Safari Hoedspruit, expressed his enthusiasm by remarking, “Our team is genuinely excited to unveil a distinctive fusion of hospitality, epitomizing Radisson’s celebrated Yes I Can! Service ethos, amidst an unparalleled safari-inspired environment.”

Featuring a planter roof and captivating views of the surrounding grasslands, Radisson Hotel Safari Hoedspruit offers a tranquil retreat at its Amani Spa. The spa, with five treatment rooms, including a private couple’s suite, indulges guests in pampering treatments and includes a health bar, hair and nail salon, and a soothing steam room. Additionally, a 24-hour fitness center, equipped with modern cardio and strength training facilities, as well as yoga or Tai Chi sessions set amid the grasslands, caters to guests seeking an active stay.

The hotel’s flexible meetings and events spaces encompass five distinct venues, comprising comfortable boardrooms, meeting rooms, and a main banquet hall capable of accommodating up to 200 guests.
