Rail Europe Sustainable Rail Summit: Pioneering the journey towards Eco-Friendly rail travel

Yesterday, Rail Europe the inaugural Sustainable Rail Summit took place at Autonomy Paris under the auspices of Rail Europe, establishing a critical juncture for the advancement of eco-friendly rail travel across the continent. The event was hailed as a tremendous success, attracting a diverse crowd of several hundred participants, including trailblazers in the industry, train service providers, manufacturers, innovators, policy framers, and advocates for sustainable mobility, all united in their commitment to advancing the rail industry towards environmental sustainability.

This first-ever rail summit at Autonomy Paris was distinguished by five compelling keynote speeches delivered by distinguished figures in the rail and mobility sectors. These presentations provided valuable perspectives on the current trends, obstacles, and progress in the realm of sustainable rail transport. The summit also featured three dynamic panel discussions that offered attendees the opportunity to delve deeply into vital issues such as responding to the increasing demand for eco-friendly rail options, overcoming competitive challenges, and fostering the development of comprehensive, sustainable travel experiences.

• ÖBB for the Best Product with their nightjet new routes
• STS for the Best Train Promotion Campaign with their Grand Train Tour of Switzerland
