Rajasthan tourism department is currently working together with other government departments of the state like archaeology, Public Works Department for tourism site development and forest department.
The Rajasthan government is all prepared to explore the tourism potential of the remote places of the state as it has recognized two sites in selected districts for their growth and expansion as new tourism sites. At present, these sites are being developed in different districts like Ajmer, Alwar, Bundi, Bhilwara, Banswara, Bharatpur, Dungarpur, Dausa, Jhalawar, Jalore, Jodhpur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli and many others, at a cost of 70.06 crore.
An official recently explained that this decision will change Rajasthan’s tourism landscape which provides a variety of tourism sites, starting right from desert to hill station.
Gayatri Rathore, tourism, principal secretary, said that in districts, two tourist destinations have been recognized and development work has been kick-started through the Tourism Development Fund. She also added that new tourist places will be developed. The benefits of the industry will be available district-wise in the state. Rashmi Sharma, Director of the tourism department, said that the work is going on at good speed to promote tourism in Rajasthan.
