With the Rajasthan Congress government encouraging “experience-based tourism,” international tour operators are being urged to join the themes of history walks, environment walks, and cuisine trails, which will draw a significant number of visitors. This month’s promotional international bazaar in Jaipur will also highlight the potential of tourism items.

Rashmi Sharma, State Tourism Director, was quoted by the Hindu as saying that experience-based tourism will create jobs in rural regions and encourage handicrafts, domestic shopping, folk music, arts, and village culture. Ms. Sharma stated that the desert safaris and environmental walks will help put the state on the tourism map of the country.

The twelfth edition of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar, which will be held in Jaipur from April 23 to 25, will introduce fresh tourism potential and attractions to tour operators from across the world. The promotional market is being planned after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

New tourism policies, such as the rural tourism policy, the film tourism promotion policy, and the eco-tourism policy, will be publicised during the mart, as will the benefits provided to heritage hotels and the unique experiential packages for travellers.

Over 280 prominent inbound international travel operators from 56 countries will attend the bazaar as foreign purchasers. The bazaar will also feature items from major hotel chains, luxury resorts, heritage hotels, health care institutions, investors, financial institutions, road transport agencies, and state tourism boards.
