Ramanagaram district to host tourism conclave on July 29

Karnataka wants Ramanagaram to features among places to visit, to hold tourism conclave on July 29 for showcasing prospective areas of investment. There are plans to develop the birth place of Kempe Gowda, the founder of Bengaluru.


On July 29, the Karnataka Government is organizing a tourism meeting in Ramanagaram district for developing the district as a conspicuous tourism center.


C.N. Ashwath Narayan, the Higher Education Minister holding responsibility of Ramanagaram district said that they will be welcoming entrepreneurs and prospective financiers from the tourism segment, along with those in the hospitality sector, to the planned conclave at Galibore in Kanakapura taluk on Friday. The prospective of the district in tourism will be showcased at the conclave, inviting investments.


Mr. Narayan said that the government would provide aid to the investors regarding speeding up necessary permissions and building the required groundwork.


Mr. Narayan said that Ramanagaram district has great tourism potential. While the River Cauvery flows through the district, Kanva and Manchanabele dams also offer prospects in tourism. The district has rocky areas which are perfect for rock climbing and adventure tourism.


He said that the Karnataka government is aiming to find out several types of tourism prospects provided by the Ramanagaram district, along with agri tourism, water sports, adventure tourism and temple and culture tourism. Ramanagaram is not only perfect for agricultural tourism, but presents a diversity in agriculture,
