Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has announced plans for a stand-alone VVIP terminal and private jet hangar, in a move that further cements the Emirate’s reputation as a fast-emerging destination for entertainment and tourism in the Northern Emirates. Announced during Dubai Airshow, the project is being developed with Falcon Executive Aviation, part of Alex Group Investment, and has been designed to establish the airport as an entry point of choice for VVIP travelers, investors, and users of private aviation.

Under a new agreement, Falcon Executive Aviation will develop and operate a state-of-the-art Fixed Base Operation facility at the airport. It forms one of the mainstays of Ras Al Khaimah’s aviation and tourism development strategy, extending the Emirate’s capability to receive high-net-worth visitors and consolidating its position in the UAE’s premium tourism market.

The new FBO complex will feature a 1,500 square metre VVIP terminal, an 8,000 square metre multi-purpose hangar and approximately 9,000 square metres of apron and aircraft parking areas. Its location is one of its biggest advantages. The airport sits just 15 minutes from Ras Al Khaimah’s leading beach resorts and the upcoming Wynn Al Marjan Island integrated resort, putting private jet passengers within quick reach of the Emirate’s flagship leisure, entertainment and hospitality offerings.

Plans include offsetting around 35 per cent of total energy consumption through on-site solar power generation, the deployment of fully electric ground support equipment, and enabling the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for eligible aircraft.

The new VVIP terminal and hangar complex will be constructed over the next 15 months, with the facility scheduled to open its doors in Q1 2027.
