During a very proud and promising moment, the last word in the ultra-luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas was the ship Seven Seas Prestige which was launched on 27th November 2025. The day of the float-out was a very important moment for Regent Seven Seas who have finally realised their dream of the new ship. The float-out took place at the Venice Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy.
The vessel’s entry into the water marks the completion of its build phase and the start of its final outfitting before its anticipated debut in late 2026. The ceremony featured time‑honoured maritime rituals including the breaking of a champagne bottle against the hull, a ceremonial ribbon‑cutting, and a blessing by the shipyard chaplain. Fincantieri’s Brunetta Casara served as Madrina, lending her name to the celebratory tradition.

The Seven Seas Prestige is the first new ship class for Regent in roughly ten years, the first since the Explorer‑class ships that have formed the backbone of the fleet.
According to Regent’s official website, the ship will carry up to 822 guests served by 630 crew across 12 decks giving it one of the highest crew‑to‑guest and space‑to‑guest ratios in the luxury cruise industry. With a gross tonnage of 76,550 tons, the Prestige is designed to deliver a sense of openness, privacy, and refined comfort.
Regent describes the ship as the heart of our vision for the future of ocean travel, pledging an experience of sophistication, elegance, and understated opulence, what many might call a floating five‑star hotel on the high seas.
The Prestige is envisaged as an intimate yet grand space spacious all‑balcony suites, thoughtfully designed public rooms, and multiple dining and lounge venues.

Dining aboard is set to become a highlight with a rich collection of venues and cuisines from the new Mediterranean‑inspired restaurant Azure to French Art‑Deco elegance at Chartreuse, steakhouse dining at Prime 7, Asian‑fusion at Pacific Rim and more, all part of an aim to deliver variety and indulgence for well‑heeled travellers.
From the regal grandeur of the atrium to intimate restaurants and panoramic balconies, the ship promises a blend of refinement and comfort that defines modern luxury cruising.
With the float‑out now complete and final outfitting underway, Regent has confirmed that the Seven Seas Prestige will enter service in December 2026.
The inaugural season offers a smorgasbord of experiences: 13 cruises spanning Europe and the Caribbean, including two trans‑Atlantic sailings, and itineraries ranging from ten to 15 nights.
Highlights include:
Regent is also offering its signature all‑inclusive luxury: shore excursions, fine dining, drinks and more included aligning with what many discerning travellers expect from top‑tier cruise travel.
For travellers who’ve followed Regent’s launches over the years, the float‑out of the Prestige is more than a technical milestone, it’s a moment of renewed promise. The anticipation among luxury‑cruising aficionados has already translated into record‑breaking booking momentum, signalling strong appetite for this new generation of cruising.
Looking ahead, the Prestige isn’t just a new ship, it’s a bridge between Mediterranean refinement, Caribbean ease and global exploration. For many, it represents a unique chance to traverse continents in comfort and style embodying a modern ideal of slow travel where every detail is crafted for relaxation, cultural immersion and indulgence.
The ship’s construction will end during the next few months and, therefore, it will be a process of not only the creation of the final steel and the fitting out of the suites but also a newborn, new memories, new voyages and new horizons for the world traveller.
